What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith

We believe...

1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit moved on them. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, is what we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine

2. In the one true God, revealed in the Scriptures as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost).

3. In the creation of man as good, the fall of man from his original state into sin, from which he has no power to redeem himself.

4. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His visual and bodily return to set up His kingdom on the earth.

5. In water baptism by submersion, as it identifies the believer with Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

6. In a life of holiness and separation from the world and sin, no longer serving them, but serving the Lord with a pure heart.

7. In the baptism of the Holy Ghost as a separate, distinct experience, subsequent to salvation, providing power for life and service, and accompanied by speaking in tongues.

8. In the church as the Body of Christ, a group of "called out ones," chosen to reveal God's plan and purpose in the earth, and the local expression of this church functioning under the guidance of the five-fold ministry.

9. In the manifestation of all nine gifts of the Holy Spirit in the local assembly, God dividing the gifts among the believers as He wills.

10. In the laying on of hands by qualified and anointed ministry for blessing, dedication, confirmation, healing, ordination, and impartation of spiritual gifts.

11. In individual and collective praise and worship and that all expressions of praise recorded in the Holy Bible are meant for practice in the church today.

12. In the all-sufficient atonement by the blood of Christ to cleanse anyone who believes on Him and responds through repentance and faith in Christ alone, and eternal damnation for those who reject Him and die in their sins.
